UmbraField Privacy Policy

UmbraField is a local-first field research app for shadow observation, solar duration estimates, angle calculations, and observation journaling.

Information We Collect

UmbraField does not require an account and does not collect personal information through the app. Observation records, calculation history, notes, and app preferences are stored locally on the user's device.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information. The app does not include third-party advertising or third-party analytics.

Local Data

Users can export or clear locally stored observation records and calculation history from inside the app. Removing the app from the device may also remove local app data.

The app includes links to this privacy policy and the support page. Opening these links may use the device browser.

Children's Privacy

UmbraField is not designed to knowingly collect information from children. Because the app does not collect account or contact information, no children's personal information is intentionally gathered.

Changes

We may update this policy when app functionality changes. The effective date above will reflect the latest published version.
